Privacy Policy & Data Confidentiality
How VL Typecert Services protects, manages, and safeguards proprietary unmanned aircraft engineering data, CAD documentation, applicant credentials, and DGCA airworthiness records.
1. Commitment to Aerospace Data Security
VL Typecert Services (“Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates India's premier Drone Type Certification and Airworthiness consultancy. We recognize the profound sensitivity of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), proprietary computer-aided design (CAD) schematics, finite element analysis (FEA) structural datasets, powertrain test benches, and flight telemetry.
This Privacy Policy delineates the protocols, technical safeguards, and airworthiness compliance standards we enforce across our Airworthiness Compliance Portal, customer onboarding, quotation generation, and regulatory dossier compilation administered by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and civil aviation authorities.
2. Categories of Information Collected
To deliver certified type inspection and compliance consulting, we collect:
- Corporate & Applicant Identifiers: Company legal name, trade name, CIN, GSTIN, PAN, corporate headquarters address, testing field coordinates, authorized representative full name, official email address, phone number, and director designations.
- UAS Technical & Engineering Specifications: Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW), empty weight, maximum payload, airframe dimensions, propulsion architectures, motor/ESC/propeller models, battery chemistry, autopilot firmware, telemetry frequencies, and fail-safe Return-to-Home (RTH) logic.
- Airworthiness Compliance Dossiers: Structural FEA reports, drop and impact analyses, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Quality Management System (QMS) manuals, Flight Manuals, Maintenance Manuals, and third-party NABL/ATE test laboratory certificates.
- Portal Security & Access Metadata: 6-digit one-time password (OTP) verification tokens, authentication session logs, role-based clearance attributes, IP addresses, and immutable system audit trail timestamps.
3. Non-Disclosure & Proprietary IP Safeguards
All CAD models, engineering drawings, schematics, and test reports uploaded to our portal or transferred during consulting engagements remain the exclusive intellectual property of the applicant drone manufacturer.
We never license, market, monetize, reverse-engineer, or share client technical designs with third parties, rival manufacturers, or commercial entities. Technical data is disclosed exclusively to authorized DGCA airworthiness inspectors, recognized Authorized Testing Entities (ATEs), or accredited laboratories specifically contracted for your type certificate evaluation.
4. Storage Infrastructure & Encryption
We implement aerospace-grade digital protection mechanisms across our entire digital infrastructure:
- In-Transit Encryption: All client communications and portal transmissions utilize 256-bit TLS (Transport Layer Security) with modern cryptographic cipher suites.
- At-Rest Protection: Engineering dossiers, flight reports, and CAD archives are stored in isolated private object repositories utilizing AES-256 server-side encryption.
- Multi-Tenant Isolation: Strict server-side access controls ensure customer files are compartmentalized by unique client identifiers, preventing unauthorized cross-tenant data access.
- Session Controls: Administrative and engineering privileges require credentialed clearance, with audit logging of every document review, upload, and quotation modification.
5. Account Archival & Regulatory Retention Policy
Under aviation airworthiness regulations, historical aircraft compliance dossiers cannot be arbitrarily deleted, as regulatory bodies require trace evidence of testing, flight safety assessments, and engineering certifications for all manufactured serial batches.
When a customer account is retired or requested for deactivation, the account profile is transitioned to Archived status:
- Portal interactive credentials and login capability are permanently deactivated.
- All historical compliance documents, quotation estimates, tax invoices, and testing records are preserved securely in cold storage for statutory audit retention.
- Archived accounts may be reviewed by compliance managers in the event of an official DGCA airworthiness audit.
